At Wildflower Music Makers, we believe that music is for all. All kids and all families. We are an inclusive community of parents, caregivers, and children with the common goal of making music together. Your family is welcome at Wildflower Music Makers.
Wildflower Music Makers was founded in Norman, Oklahoma in 2021 with the simple goal of bringing families together through music. The first Family Class in September of 2021 had only 6 families. After 5 years, 2 states, and making music with over 500 families, Wildflower Music Makers is more vibrant than ever and now settled in Clarksville, Tennessee.
So if you are looking for a way to bring more music and joy into your family life, or to find other families and build a village of support, or a place for your little musician to grow and belong, we have just thing thing for you. Our Founder, Director, and Teacher
Emily Richardson, Wildflower founder and director, teaches all of our Wildflower Music Makers classes. She has a passion for bringing families together through music and fostering a lifelong love of music in our little ones.
Mrs. Emily has been making music with children for over 17 years with experiences both in the public schools and private settings. She is certified PreK-12 music teacher in the state of Tennessee. She holds a Bachelor of Music from James Madison University, a Master of Music Education and Kodály Certification from the University of Oklahoma. Mrs. Emily has been teaching family music classes since 2015 and founded Wildflower Music Makers in 2021. She regularly leads workshops and presentations on early childhood music at local, state, and national music education conferences. She loves baking, yoga, and spending time outside with her husband and son.
